AMBIENT TEMPERATURE IN ROOM.

Record temperature in each machine room.

 

 

6.2

TEMPERATURES. With the equipment operating in production mode and by using a remote temperature probe, check and record bearing and gearbox external temperatures, if accessible.

 

LIST. SKETCH.

NOISE. Listen for undue noise

 

 

6.4

VIBRATION. If practical, feel for vibration. If access is difficult, consider using a listening probe.

 

 

6.5

OPERATING PROBLEMS. Ask the operator if he has noticed any problems, record comments.

GUARD PLACEMENT. Verify that guards are in place.

OPERATING PARAMETERS. Record gauge readings: operating pressure, RPM, Amps, feet per minute, temperature

SAFETY FEATURES. Have the operator demonstrate that automatic trips and dead-man features are functioning.
