While being courteous, reliable and resourceful, the Area Representative shall find new clients and maintain contact with existing clients by various methods, which may include cold calling, phone calling, attending meetings, trade shows, networking functions and the like, during regular working hours and after regular working hours in order to:

Arrange meetings;

Meet with potential and current client's to determine their service needs and explain how MTJ may be of assistance;

Solicit work in the form of Requests for Estimate, Quotation or Proposals. Determine the client's urgency for bids and the form in which the bid must be submitted such as, sealed tender, letter, e-mail, FAX, or verbal;

Defend bids within the technical capabilities of the Area Representative or co-ordinate a technical presentation to the client by qualified MTJ personnel;

Arrange for work of an on-call nature by providing contact phone numbers, rate sheets and the like to the appropriate staff, within the client's organization;

Ensure that the client's request for service are followed through, as necessary expedite the service by contacting the appropriate MTJ supervisor;

Manage client feedback, notify the appropriate MTJ supervisor when in receipt of either positive or negative comments from the client and expedite the quick resolution of any client concerns;

Complete administrative tasks in a timely manner by coordinating credit checks, obtaining PST exemption certificates, expediting payments, providing the client with necessary WSIB certificates and certificates of liability insurance;

Feedback marketing activity to management by attending scheduled meetings and providing written reports of activities;

Establish, work towards and be remunerated for achieving performance targets;

Avoid any circumstance which may lead to a conflict of interest.
